American Idol

My family has become such American Idol fans, sorry TR the cat is out of the bag! I just want to mention that Kris Allen goes to my church and used to be part of the worship team. He is amazing and I am so excited to watch him on American Idol. Adleigh is even a fan and loves to bounce and clap when he is on...sounds like a fib, but really it is true.
Another interesting thing about Kris Allen is that he went on a mission trip with my sister several years ago. They were in a small group within the group on the mission that chose to hike the mountains in Africa (this was such a difficult task and one that they had to prepare for due to weather and terrain conditions). My sister still talks about that trip and how much it opened up her eyes, her heart and the memories that she will always cherish. She said that Kris would sing on the trip...who would have thought that fast forward a few years and we are now sitting on our couches watching him on TV.
If you haven't paid attention to him do so, he is a good Christian man and what a great example for America. Here is a picture to remind you of what he looks like. Vote!

Airports, Valentines, Teeth and all the in betweens

Okay, I have been on a semi-hiatus from blogging due to TR being out of town, all of us out of town, and a full weekend.

Two weeks ago, TR flew to Houston for work...and miraculously I made it!! No murderers, rapists, or robbers stopped by and I did not have to use my gun on them. Yes, people I do have a gun and bullets. Over Christmas, my brother showed me how to use it and with the bullets that I have...I do not have to have a perfect aim...just point and shoot somewhere in the vicinity. So, if you are planning on coming over either call or announce yourself because when I am alone with Ads my motto is shoot first ask questions later! Back to the point of this post...on Friday the 13th, Ads and I flew to Houston to meet TR and let me tell you I missed him. At the airport, no one offered/helped me carry all of my stuff. I had a baby, a car seat, a diaper bag, and luggage...I wish I could have had someone take a pic, but since they would not help I doubt they would have taken a picture!! After I dropped off the majority of my load there were a ton of gentlemen who asked to help me with my stuff, but by that time, I was managing quite well so I thanked them and kept on. Adleigh was so cute waiting for the plane and when we were leaving she kept waving to people and saying bye bye. Plane ride went smooth and we even received several compliments from people that she was the best baby they have ever had on a plane with them!! Who would have thought...the little booger sure knows how to ham it up!

Of course Daddy was thrilled to see us and from there we spent Valentines weekend thoroughly stuffing ourselves and enjoying Houston!! I have the cutest pics that I will need to post later. Ads and I explored Houston and got to spend some time with my cousin and her husband. All in all the week was great. But needless to say, we were so ready to be home. I even forgot where I put the car keys, which sent us a little into panic mode last Friday, but due to my organizational techniques, I quickly checked the most logical place and found them. The luggage that we checked...haha!

Anyways, here are a few of the awesome milestones from the last few weeks. Ads is now crawling constantly and she means business...she is fast like lightning, she started saying dadadada...thank goodness, TR was getting jealous of all the mama's, and she got her first tooth.. it is barely there, but oh so cute...she can sure bite down hard with that little guy.

This past weekend, my mom and stepdad came to visit and we had such a great time. My sister and her husband also came over and we all went out for mexican food (yummy), Coldstone (super yummy..try the Our Strawberry Blonde with Cheesecake ice cream), and to Babies 'R' Us. Sister is pregnant and wanted to see what all was out there. We are so excited for baby!! Ads had a great time there and loved playing with all of the toys, the guys didn't even mind because of Ads loving the toys. She even got a little onesie that says princess with an attached tutu.

This was a soccer Sunday so after church, we ate lunch, took food induced naps, and then watched the guys play soccer...not a victory so I will move on.

And now we are to present. I start my MBA tomorrow so wish me luck!! I am going to enjoy this evening being lazy with my people!!

One year ago today

one of my "best" childhood friends died. I literally spent my entire adolescence with her or talking to her. I think about her all of the time especially now that I have become a mom. I wish I could share with her all about the crazy things I have learned and how I now get our mom's so much more. I especially think of her dear mom, whom I know misses her so much that her heart is broken (Gayle, I pray daily that you will find peace and be filled with love that will mend your brokenness.) Though the last few years before she died we had drifted apart, I have missed her daily. I had been best friends with her since elementary school. There was a group of us that shared everything together. Of course with that closeness came a ton of fights (which only made us all closer), but nonetheless, we all still have a bond that will allow us to be those type of friends that even if we have not talked in awhile, we could pick up where we left off easily. With that being said, I still talk to Hailey at times. She is apart of me and helped me become the woman, friend, wife, and mother that I am today. Some might find this crazy, I don't. I want to share with her my joy, sorrow and all the end betweens. Some people want to get away from their childhood/teenage years, but since I have moved from my hometown I have learned that the friendships I had then were so precious and nothing will ever be that carefree. Hailey-you gave me courage, laughter, and some of my most prized memories. I'll always cherish the time that you, me, and KB got caught with our butts in the air sneaking out and begging my dad not to tell because we thought we would not be allowed to be friends any longer to just lazy days laying out, I cannot help but miss your spunk and free spirit. I love you forever!!

Oh No!!

Today everything has changed and will never be the same. I was making Adleigh's bottle in the kitchen this evening and Adleigh was playing with her blocks in the living room. I see something out of the corner of my eye to little Adleigh making her way to me. My baby is now mobile and life at the Krile household is forever changed!! Later, I was in my room and Adleigh was going after my jewelry box/mirror. The girl has figured out how to get to where she needs to go....though she moves both legs together at the same time. Cutest thing ever!!! Congrats Adleigh on crawling, I am so proud of you.

Update: The Fray

Got it, listened to it, love it...can't wait to listen to it more during the
several hours driving in the car tomorrow!!

Guess What?

And no, I am not pregnant and due to this "new" thing it will be a few more years until we have another little bundle of joy. I am starting my MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Management in two weeks!! If I keep up with the traditional program, I will be done in less than two years. I am so excited and cannot wait to start....though it will be interesting considering I am a full time mommy, full time employee, full time wife, and a full time cleaner...so now I am a full time student as well. Also, due to this new change, I got a new laptop so this is my first post from my new toy. Wish me luck and have a great night.
P.S. Did you catch Really!?! on Saturday Night Live?? If not here is the link.... http://www.hulu.com/watch/56636/saturday-night-live-really-michael-phelps. Freaking hilarious!!

You Found Me

I am so excited that The Fray has come out with a new CD and cannot wait to go buy it...I guess I am kinda old school but I really want to have the cd for my car!! Here is a bit of info on one of their songs...I love it.

In an interview, Isaac Slade expressed his meaning behind the lyrics of the song:
"You Found Me" is a tough song for me. Its about the disappointment, the heart ache, the let down that comes with life. Sometimes you’re let down, sometimes you’re the one who lets someone else down. It gets hard to know who you can trust, who you can count on. This song came out of a tough time, and I’m still right in the thick of it. There’s some difficult circumstances my family and friends have been going through over the past year or so and can be overwhelming. It wears on me. It demands so much of my faith to keep believing, keep hoping in the unseen. Sometimes the tunnel has a light at the end, but usually they just look black as night. This song is about that feeling, and the hope that I still have, buried deep in my chest.
Lyrics to You Found Me :

I found God
On the corner of First and Amistad
Where the west
Was all but won
All alone
Smoking his last cigarette
I said, Where you been?
He said, Ask anything.

Where were you
When everything was falling apart?
All my days
Were spent by the telephone
That never rang
And all I needed was a call
It never came
To the corner of First and Amistad

Lost and insecure
You found me, you found me
Lying on the floor
Surrounded, surrounded
Why’d you have to wait?
Where were you, where were you?
Just a little late
You found me, You found me

In the end
Everyone ends up alone
Losing her
The only one who’s ever known
Who I am
Who I’m not, and who I want to be
No way to know
How long she will be next to me

Lost and insecure
You found me, you found me
Lying on the floor
Surrounded, surrounded
Why’d you have to wait?
Where were you, where were you?
Just a little late
You found me, You found me

Early morning
The city breaks
I’ve been calling
For years and years and years and years
And you never left me no messages
You never sent me no letters
You got some kind of nerve
Taking all I want

Lost and insecure
You found me, you found me
Lying on the floor
Where were you, where were you?

Lost and insecure
You found me, you found me
Lying on the floor
Surrounded, surrounded
Why’d you have to wait?
Where were you, where were you?
Just a little late
You found me, You found me

Why’d you have to wait
To find me, to find me?

If you haven't heard this song, check it out and better yet get the whole cd!!

REALLY?

So, besides my family's love for the Office, we also love Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live. I miss Amy Poehler and I loved her and Seth doing their REALLY segment, so here is one of my own from this past weekend.
  • Mr. Neighbor, do you REALLY need to climb up on your roof with your beer in hand and clean out your gutters while never setting down your beer, REALLY? Are you REALLY that thirsty that you can not wait until you are done with the gutters and off the roof to grab the beer back, REALLY?

It's a little crazy, but I love when I have these REALLY moments with TR (or even just in real life) because I always finish with REALLY in my best Amy Poehler impersonation and of course, he never sees the resemblance and at times, doesn't even get it, so I of course just laugh in my head.

REALLY!!

Hugs, Hugs & More Hugs

This morning was the greatest...my sweet little girl wanted hug after hug after hug!! She is growing up so fast and becoming so independent that at times, I get a little sad because she is not as dependent on me. I know, I know..... I should be so excited all the time about how blessed we are that she is healthy, developing normally, and so independent...but I just sometimes miss the sweet, cuddling in my arms. So this morning was bliss, she played with my mascara (she is definitely MY girl) and sat in my lap wanting lots of hugs and kisses. Adleigh Grace- you are the sunshine of my days!!

Superbowl Sunday, Soccer, and Pics

Well, Ads has not been feeling great...she has a cold so she decided to head to bed a little early and skip the Superbowl. After her bottle tonight, she closed her eyes on daddy's shoulder and is in bed and has been for the last hour!! Poor little girl...she was up early this a.m. and had only had one small nap before mimi and g-pa came over today. She got some fun books from them and we played the cd this afternoon...thanks mimi and g-pa!!!

I think that I mentioned before that TR, Bret (bro-in-law), and Aaron (bro) are playing on a soccer team together so here are some pics. It was soooo cold, but we bundled up and us girls had a great time!! We look forward to soccer games bc Karye and Megan come visit. Sorry soccer photos are so small, they really are great and Megan did an awesome job at capturing the action!! Here are some pics of us hanging out at the Big Damn Bridge and yes that is really the name.

Hanging out and enjoying a pretty day. Nothing is better than those kisses...and this time she closed her mouth (you never know what you are going to get)!!

Dad and Ads and doggies. Nana and Adleigh all bundled up watching the boys play soccer.

Daddy getting the ball...he even scored!! Bret running with the ball.

Aaron head butting the ball. It was so nice to watch Aaron play soccer again, I miss the good old days of us traveling for his soccer. Ads and I cuddling to keep warm...she looks like Rudolph with her red nose!
