Which Way to the Pumpkin Patch??

So, Adleigh went to her first guys night two weeks ago and mom had the night to herself. I honestly did not know what to do and almost called TR several times, but then finally began to relax and watch Greys. She seemed to enjoy herself and I am thinking it was an okay thing. TR gets together with his friends on a regular basis to discuss life and all things boy.

I know I am a little late, but two weeks ago we went to the pumpkin patch with our friends, the Bursk's, and had a great time.
Adleigh and Avery seemed to notice eachother a little, hopefully they will be great friends one day bc their daddies have been friends since they were in junior high. Adleigh was awakened from her nap and it took her a little while to get in the groove of things.

She is growing up so fast and moving around now. She is not crawling yet, but has learned to maneuver the rolls!! She is definitely keeping her mommy and daddy on their toes.

This Friday is Halloween and Adleigh is going to be a little pea pod. I am so excited for the pictures and getting to show her off to our family and friends. Nana is coming down from NWA on Halloween and will be making the rounds to the aunt Shay/uncle Bryce's, Mimi's work, Grandpa Doug's, and aunt Karye/uncle Bret's....it will be quite the journey through several cities.

Tonight we carved our first pumpkin ever and took some pics. For some reason when we use the night setting, the picture turns out blurry and when we use the normal setting the flash makes it look like it is the middle of the day!! We could not get Lucky to sit still but we were able to catch Noel.

Happy Trick or Treat Week!!

I've been tagged!! Thanks KB....

Here are seven random facts about me:

1) I am not a morning person...I don't like to talk until I have had a cup of coffee and am heading out the door. Though I do enjoy my mornings with Adleigh...we play on the bed and laugh, this is the only exception to my no talking in the mornings!! If I am talked to I usually respond with grunts.

2) All closet doors in my house must be shut, I think it is possible that I could have a panic attack if I woke up and saw that one was open in our bedroom. I also do not sleep well if TR has not made me a glass of water on the nightstand. It is NOT the same if I have to make it and bring it upstairs to bed.

3) At night when I go upstairs, I usually run thinking that someone is chasing me...TR likes to laugh at me because there is no one there. I also like the couch to be against the wall for the window area so that no robbers, rapists, or murderers can get in at night!!

4) When I was little and would be grumpy, my mom would have "happy" time with me such as tickling, hugging, giving kisses, and being silly. My husband thought it was a great idea and he carries on the tradition now and I love it (nothing turns a frown upside down like "happy" time).

5) I make up the craziest songs using Adleigh's name to soothe, entertain, and play with her. For example, This is mom's baby, this is mom's girl, this is mom's Adleigh Grace, She is her world!!

6) My dog, Noel, is passionately in love with my husband and at times, I am jealous!! I wish she loved me that way and I can even at times pout about it. I know that secretly, the mr. loves it!!

7) I speak with my mother at least 5 times a day. I have mommy time with her every morning and if I do not, I get sad!!

some days the glass is half empty...

and i like it that way on occasion!! though these days always do make me look over my life and realize that i got it good.

ever have those days that you think i wish i were still in bed...well on the days that i feel that way i become extremely cynical, pretty random, and very honest about life. the mr. tends to just laugh at me and says that he loves me. he enjoys the eclectic wifey that says quirky things and behaves rather peculiar...he used to encourage me to dye my hair crazy colors. i will never forget the look on my momma's face when i walked into church and had dyed my hair a bright plum color. thank goodness we were in church...and that james is a dear friend that would always fix my hair on a random sunday or in the middle of the night!!

anyways, lately tr and i have been coming up with some funny things that make us laugh and probably would make others wonder what is wrong with us, i will share them so that i can look back on here when i ask tr what made us laugh so hard the other night that i thought pee might come out?? i guess you could call this my bucket wish list for 2008.

1) we are wanting to go to a furniture store looking for bunk beds and ask the associate how they will look in our master bedroom. we will then explain that we have always wanted bunk beds and how much room we will now have!! then we will stage a fight over who gets the top bunk.

2) since we are a one car family at this time (my car is in the shop) this morning we had to pick up a man from the uk for tr's work. we have adleigh's car seat in the backseat and i told tr that i would move back there when we got to the hotel. i then said that when the man gets in we should start fighting and tr said that he would yell at me when i spoke and tell me to shut up...i then said that i should yell back about the man taking the front seat!! would that not have scared him??

3) the day that i was induced, i decided to mow the lawn. in case you did not see me or pics of me...i truly looked like the michelin tire monster (not quite sure what it is, maybe a marshmallow man). i was almost 100 lbs over weight and could hardly move much less wear shoes. that morning tr went to work to finish a few things and i began mowing the yard. every neighbor in my neighborhood stopped and said that i should go lay down...did i mention that i looked like a wet tr shirt model without the sexiness?? anyways, when i told tr this he got embarrassed and said that he is sure the neighbors thought he was a creep. i wish i would have thought to tell the neighbors that i had to mow the lawn and that i could not stop to talk to them bc tr was watching me from the window and would be angry for the pause. i then would have preceded that statement with the statement that i would be going to the hospital that night to have adleigh and tr had given me a long list of chores to do before he would take me to the hospital.

anyways, this is just the sick stuff that we find funny. we also respond to each other with looks that our 5 month old gives and make different noises/grunts that she makes to communicate, the only problem is that when in public others look at us strangely. this is how we keep the romance alive!!

oh by the way we have done some fun family things so when i get a chance i will post the pics so that everyone does not think that we are weirdos and that we do normal family things, too!

What a hectic week...

Well, it is finally Saturday and we are starting to relax from this past week. It has been a week of firsts here at the Krile house and we are expecting lots more!!

Adleigh went to the doctor on Tuesday for her 4 month shots and took them like a champ!! She did not like the initial sting, but was fine within seconds. Thank goodness she does not get sick from those shots! At the appointment she was 14 lbs. and 8 oz. with a height of 25 1/4 in. as well as a head circumference of 16 cm. Basically, she is in the 75th percentile for weight, 90th for height, and 70th for head. She is one big girl now!! That night she had some cereal in her bottle because she was too tired to try it from the spoon. We had attempted this a few weeks ago, but she was not having it. Here is a pic of our sleepy girl in her pj's attempting to sleep and eat.
Wednesday night we were just chilling at home and Adleigh decided to read with mom!! It is amazing at how much she enjoys spending time with us...I will always cherish these moments because before we know it mom and dad will be dorks!!

On Thursday we had a success and Adleigh ate cereal from a spoon!! She loved it and we were able to get great pics as well as some video footage.
Later, that night TR went to his guys' night and Ads and I had girls night...she did not seem to be enjoying girls night and was very upset all evening. That night I was worried about her because she is always so happy and pleasant. I had TR check on her several times (I get scared of the dark at night) and she was sleeping soundly. The next morning before getting ready I was playing with Adleigh and she threw up. This was the first time she has ever thrown up and I knew that she must have been sick the night before as well. I took her temperature and it was a 99.6. I waited about an hour and took it again and it was 100.6. I decided to keep her home from daycare and we both laid in my bed all morning. Around 11 am, I took her temp again and it was a 101.7 so I called the doctor. We went to the doctor and found out she had an ear infection and sinus infection, so she started on her first antibiotic. Side note: her weight was 14 lbs. and 11 oz., no need to worry about her skipping a meal when she is sick, she gained 3 oz. in three days!!
Well, this morning she did great and her fever broke and she is back to our talking, energetic little angel. She watched football with dad, played with the dogs, and laughed for mom. Could life be any better??

addendum: to my joke post a few days ago...

tr took a look at my joke and did not like it so here is another just for you baby....this is the one that you shared with me this morning. and he thinks my jokes are bad!!

tr: knock, knock
tara: who's there
tr: barack
tara: barack who
tr: barack-oli and cheese, which is followed by his uncontrollable laughing, obviously pleased by his creativity...

yes folks this is what i live and deal with on a daily basis!!!

sometimes a girl just needs her mom!!

a few weeks ago, adleigh went to her first bridal shower!! actually she has been to more than i can count, but this one she was out of my belly. it was such a fun time, my sister leah is getting married and the shower was held in maumelle, which was great for us. i had my mom here and i cannot even put into words how much i miss her and wish that we lived closer to eachother. when karye, megan, and i got back from the shower the boys were still in the same spot that we left them in and we all just sat around and shared stories...nothing is better than spending time with family. we all went to cajun's that night and i think i had my best steak experience ever. however, due to my choice of rare(i had raw here but tr editted my post and shared that i do not eat it raw, but rare)...i grossed out my sister!! she wants it so cooked that there is no juice, what a waste of cow.

basically the point of this post is to show the picture of me, Adleigh Grace, and MY MOM!! nothing is better than a momma...
