Adleigh is doing great, in just a few short weeks, she will be one!!! I can not believe that a year has gone by so fast. This has definitely been more rewarding and difficult than I ever imagined. TR and I are constantly looking at each other and saying that we love her, as if the other did not know how much!! She is such a little sprite thing. Today she added a new word to the vocab!!
Her words to date are:
- Mama
- Bye Bye (with waving)
- Dada
- Hot Dog
- Hello (while putting hand or whatever near her to her ear)
- My (mine and at times grabbing to take something that she feels is hers)
- Baba (bottle)
- Dawdaw (dog)
- Tic Tic (Tickle Tickle)
- Nana ( the NEW word)
She loves sitting in the window with the dogs and banging on the glass or screen (when window is open). She hardly ever wants to be held anymore and loves to be independent. She is learning to walk and can do it with us only holding one of her hands!! She is also a huge fan of blocks. Her aunt Karye likes to stack them on top of each other and Adleigh comes crawling in lightning speed to knock them over. Then she laughs. Nothing sounds better than her laughs.
We just got home from church and lunch with Karye & Bret and are getting ready to go on a lazy Sunday drive. Last year at this time we were driving all over central Arkansas because I was on bed rest and huge and could not walk long. We would talk and fantasize about what Adleigh and parenthood would be like....though it is so much more amazing than previously anticipated. Now we get to go on a drive and hear her sing and we talk about how great life really is for us.
Enjoy this rainy, lazy Sunday!!
