Last weekend Adleigh went swimming with TR and some of his friends while my mom and I attended Karye's Memphis baby shower. Parker Kash got some cute stuff. We also shopped at her mother-in-laws store Sassafras and I got Adleigh a precious monogrammed backpack for her. We also got our friends Brian and Stephanie some cute stuff for little Marlee. Their shower is this Saturday so we will be driving up for the day and then heading right back. The drive to NWA is so boring especially when doing it twice in 24 hours!! Then on Sunday [June 7] while in Russellville visiting with my mom and Aaron, Adleigh stood up on her own. We were so excited and she continued to stand/sit while playing peek a boo with daddy and uncle Aaron. We had such a great time getting to just wonder around Bona Dea park and playing.
My mom had been saying for awhile that she thought that Adleigh would start walking that weekend and she was right!! That night TR bribed Adleigh with some yummy gooey butter cake and Adleigh would stand up and follow him without holding onto anything for support. She is such a big girl now!!
So for the last week she has been walking and standing and keeping us busy by chasing her. For such a little package the girl can move!!
This past weekend was super relaxing and we just chilled at home. I went through about 4 books (I am a super crazy fast reader)! Friday afternoon there were scary storms so we decided to stay home. Not to mention that my back was hurting from me popping it and I had to take some Aleve to just be able to lay on it. I am injury prone and if something is going to happen it will happen to me.
Saturday we rearranged the living room furniture (or I should say TR bc all I did was point due to my back hurting) and Krystal/Mark came over to visit. It was so nice to see Krystal and we got to talk for a few hours. Her visit definitely makes me miss living so close to friends! The rest of the day we just played.
Sunday, my back was really hurting so we decided to make the whole weekend a lazy weekend and hung out in the living room. Adleigh loves the new setup in the LR so she was all over the place. We had TR's parents and my sister and bro-in-law visit as well so it was an exciting day. Adleigh loved showing off her new skills and receiving so much attention. Right before our visitors Adleigh had her first walking accident. She reached for the bench with our kitchen table and missed and slammed into the wood. Her little mouth was bleeding. She started crying when she saw the blood on her hand but after getting the blood cleaned up and giving her some mommy kisses, she perked right up. TR and I were more concerned about it than she was and it was just amazing at seeing that she is not a little baby anymore but a toddler.
Back to the grind today but I did manage to put dinner in the crockpot this morning so we should have dinner ready when we get home. I am always so hungry by the end of the day, so I am excited to get home tonight.
Have a great week and sorry this was full of just everyday things but I want to make sure that I do not forget them!!
